VOLUNTEERING

The Spalding Tulip Parade is an important national tourist event, bringing visitors from all around the UK. There are festival activities for all age groups — a great way for everyone in the area to get involved and have fun!

Please consider how you, your friends or family, your company or your associates could help to make the Parade an extra special event.

Below are just some of the activities where help is always appreciated. If you’d like to get involved with any of these or can think of an activity you feel would add value to the Parade then please do get in touch.

January — April:
Fund Raising
Providing local points for our “Parade Aid” collection boxes.
Sourcing donations to help support the children’s costumes and props for the floats.

Parade Organisation
Administration
Help with correspondence and planning.
Liaison support staff to work with performers and sponsors.

Thursday 1st & Friday 2nd May
Flower Heading Teams
Flower float heading teams
Flower panel heading teams (including supervised school groups)

Parade Day—Saturday 3rd May
Stewards & Hosts
Roadside Stewards 10am-5pm in locations around the Parade route.
Parade Safety Stewards to walk with the Parade
Volunteer “Information Guides” to assist in helping and advising visitors, selling Parade Programmes and acting as Coach Party Hosts.
